Local pack
The boxed set of three map-based business results Google shows at the top of a local search, above the regular blue links.
The local pack (also called the map pack) is the cluster of three businesses Google displays with a map at the top of a local search result. Each entry shows the name, star rating, review count, hours, and often a Book or Call button. Because it sits above the traditional web links and takes up most of the first screen on a phone, being one of those three is the most valuable placement in local search.
Landing in the pack is decided by the same signals as Local SEO: proximity to the searcher, relevance of your profile to the query, and prominence (reviews, ratings, and consistency). It matters more every year because searchers increasingly act without leaving the results page. With 68% of US Google searches now ending in zero clicks, the pack is frequently the whole decision, and a complete Google Business Profile is what earns your spot in it.
You cannot buy your way into the pack (paid map ads are labeled separately), so it rewards an accurate, review-rich Google Business Profile and steady "Near me" search relevance. Founden keeps those signals healthy through Local SEO and Review Management.
