Waitlist

A waitlist is a standing list of clients who want an appointment that is not currently available, either a fully booked day or a more convenient time than they could get. When a slot opens through a cancellation or a schedule change, the system offers it to the next matching person on the list, usually by text, and books whoever accepts first. It turns your inevitable cancellations into filled chairs instead of dead time.

This is where a waitlist earns its keep. Guests cancel about 8% of appointments on average, and an automated waitlist recovers much of that revenue: businesses using one fill 12% more cancellations. Without it, a late cancellation just becomes an empty slot, indistinguishable in cost from a No-Show. With it, high-demand times that used to sit locked to a single booking become fluid.
