Self-Booking
When a client books their own appointment end to end, with no staff member involved in the transaction.
Self-booking is the client-facing half of Online Booking: the client chooses the service, the provider, and the time and confirms it themselves, without a call, a text exchange, or anyone at the desk touching it. The distinction matters because a booking link that still requires a staff member to approve or manually enter each request is not truly self-service, and it keeps the labor (and the delay) on your side.
Clients increasingly expect to serve themselves. 80% of guests want to book on mobile, 43% of Gen Z clients expect an online booking option on your site, and 71% of regulars have abandoned a booking because reaching someone was too hard. Every one of those is a client who would happily have booked themselves if you had let them, and who otherwise becomes a lost or delayed appointment.
True self-booking frees your team from phone duty while capturing demand around the clock, and it pairs with a Booking Window and a Deposit so clients booking on their own still follow your rules. It is also the front line for demand you never see, handled by an AI Receptionist when a client would rather talk than tap. Set it up in online booking.
